What is this?
Content Credentials are the industry standard (C2PA) for cryptographically signed provenance: a record of who made an image and how, embedded in the file itself and backed by Adobe, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and the major camera makers. As AI-generated media spreads, the practical question is shifting from "does this look fake?" to "does this carry a signed record of where it came from?" EffortProof gives you that answer in one drop.
Honest scope
This tool detects and inspects Content Credentials. It does not
validate the signing certificate chain: "signature present" means a signature block is embedded,
not that it is valid or from a trusted issuer. The claim generator is read heuristically and can
include stray bytes. For full cryptographic verification use the official
Content Credentials Verify tool.
